Makes up for the last one, it's a stout, but tastes like a cinnamon bun, pretty good.

Bottle. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bitter dark grains, roasted malts and cinnamon with a touch of raisin supporting. Flavor has more cinnamon and dark grains with roasted malts and raisins underlying.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of earth, raisins, malt, grain, light hops, tons of candy sugars, a light spice of canella and a touch more of the roasted malt - quite pungent. Medium-bodied; Assertive pungent roasted malt flavour with some caramel, toffee, raisins and a lot of lactose notes throughout with a very bitter and almost burnt malt flavour with some grain and floral hops noticeable, but the bitterness is quite assertive. Aftertaste shows a lot of sweetness, earth and burnt flavours with a little bit of the spices coming through, but this is deep and pungent without much body nor complexities or especially subtleties. Overall, a decent beer, but not exactly what I was expecting - a bit too bitter, pungent and assertive up front without having much complexities or variances to make this very enjoyable. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 26-November-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 13-January-2017.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of cinnamon raisin bread. Flavors of same but cinnamon is overpowering. Dry and sweet...

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Rings of lace stick to the sides of the glass.
The aroma blends the rugged roasty qualities of \"Commodore\" to the sweet raisin/dark fruits. An ample amount of cinnamon slides in nicely.
The flavor blends the \"Commodore\" roastiness to the cinnamon. Dry roasty aftertaste with the same finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it, as much as a stout can be.
Overall, nice stout worthy of coming back to.

12 oz draft. Full frothy head on top a potch black liquid. Aroma is Bold in raisins and cinnamon. Mild chocolate underneath that.
Flavor is as it smells. The impressive thing is the body; full and creamy and has an Imperial mouthfeel. The cinnamon rides the line of being to much but the chocolate and raisins help to knock it down. It reminds me of a liquid oatmeal raisin cookie. Better then I expected
Sounds weird as hell but it works. Gimmicky? Yep.

On tap at Hop Scholar. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong cinnamon, cocoa, dark fruit. Medium body, cocoa, strong spice, lingering dry finish, very good.
