Bottle at Gainsbar. Mmmmm nice. Very juicy, grapefruit, orange, minerals, crisp maltiness, lightly bitter finish. Biscuity.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing. Intense smooth beginning. Fresh caramel, round and refreshing with a deep malty-alcoholic back. Moderate bitter, refreshing, sticky rich. Nice.

330ml bottle bought at Baixa Brewing. Rocky white head, remaining over a misty yellow-gold body. Lacing rings down the glass. Mid-sweet grainy fruits on the nose. Flavoured with canned fruits and oily hops. Ends mid-sweet fruity. Fine depth. Quite alright. (Hotel room, Albir 13.04.2019).

Huge thanks to JefVerstraete for that one! Bottle looks interesting. Beer in the glass light golden, small head. Fresh fruity aroma. Starts fine malty, spicy, light sourish-soapy. Some hoppy-fruity notes in the background, some lemon, still light sourish. Finish could be more balanced. Okay.

Un peu trop brouillonne pour briller cette Ouwen Duiker qui n’en est tout de même pas mauvais. Mais avec 4 houblons : Magnum, Tettnanger, Mosaic et Citra, la ligne aromatique se perd quelque peu. L’alcool, à 7 % n’est pas non plus des plus efficaces pour soutenir tout cela. Si l’ambition initiale paraît bonne, le résultat est un brin décevant. En verre, nous sommes sur un blond orangé (EBC de 10), parcouru par de fines bulles et surmonté d’une fine mousse blanche. Le nez n’est pas très développé avec de légers arômes d’agrumes, une pointe herbacée et un soupçon d’épices. L’attaque présente une amertume franche (EBU pourtant uniquement de 37, mais bien dosé et présent) mais sur des arômes brouillons avec des agrumes, de la mangue, du poivre, un brin de plastique et d’herbes. Les houblons se superposent plus qu’ils ne s’allient. LA deuxième bouche est tout de même quelque peu plus stable avec un poivre assez présent sur des arômes de pêche, mangue et résineux. C’est le Mosaic qui s’exprime davantage et qui permet en prenant l’ascendant de donner un peu de cohérence à l’ensemble. L’arrière bouche, linéaire est sur une ampleur correcte. Le final repart alors dans tous les sens sans grande cohérence, sèche et un brin court sur les agrumes et une amertume herbacée. Une ligne directrice mieux définie aurait été de bon aloi.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a generally clear gold, medium white topping. Aroma has lightly floral blonde yeast, dough, distant spice. Continues along similar lines on the palate, light simplistic blonde in character, not massively sweet, a touch grassy, soft yeast, well-rounded and quenching.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malt, tropical fruit, citrus. Taste: Moderate sweet malty, subtle notes of tropical fruit, mango, citrus. Light yeasty hints. Light to moderate grassy and citrus hopbitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Nice one.

Keg at MK VHX, 14/03/18. Clear golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is stewed fruits, grains, straw, lemon rind, light spice. Taste comprises yeast esters, stale bread, grains, citric rinds, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent well balanced Belgian number.
