330 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate fizzy head that settles quickly. Aromas of fudge, chocolate, vanilla, a little oak, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with slight additional whiskey. Other than a thinning effect not really getting much flavors from the barreling. Still, quite nice

Can picked up from Mr Hop, Vernray, Netherlands and consumed sat in Frank after a night out with Jonas. Ursula, Sean and Heidi Friday 31st October 2025, actually it's technically 1st November 2025 now as it's 12:45. Pours black with a rapidly departing light beige head, it's actually a bit thinner in the mouth than expected. It's a fruity and roasty combination, bizarrely there is a little bit of cola. It's not totally my thing but it is fine.

Can. Very dark. Riwn, almost no head. Vanilla, fudge, chocolate, blackberries, earthy, dry oak, soft scotch, dried plums. Over medium sweet, medium bitter, very light sour. Bit thin body, almost flat. Bit dry finish. Much less creamy and full than other versions I've tried but tastes quite OK.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sweet dark malt with fudge, caramel, some whiskey, toffee, nutty notes. Medium sweet, light bitter, some alcohol. Very nice, whiskey barrel could have been a bit more pronounced.

Can. Color: Black, brown head. Aroma: Caramel fudge, hazelnut, vanilla. Taste: Smooth, dense and creamy malty body, caramel fudge and hazelnut notes, some vanilla, roasted malt, Whisky, wood and light hints of peat and fruity pineapple. Over medium body, low carbonation. Long lasting finish. Over medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Would benefit from some more carbonation, in my opinion. Ok, but reminder to myself: Skip the following variations for once. Many of the same...

0.33 l can from the brewery's web shop, best before October 2030. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little fruity aroma of chocolate, caramel, coffee, vanilla, toasted hazelnut and light fruity whisky. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty-bitter, slightly fruity taste of chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut, vanilla, caramel and some fruity whisky, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter finish. Almost full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really tasty, well-balanced variant with relatively subtle barrel notes.
