11/10/2025. Cask at wetherspoon beer festival, at Cricketers, Ipswich. Aroma is herbal, flowery, citrus, lime leaf, cardamom, slight sulphur and sherbet notes. Medium sweetness, low bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Not so keen on this.

Cask at The Gordon Highlander. It pours clearish dirty blonde with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, fragrant, honeyed grain, biscuit, white bread and sponge cake. The taste is firmly dry, fragrant, green, herbal, coriander is quite prominent, grass, biscuit, slightly soapy, sweet raisin and sultana with a drying finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Maybe a bit too fragrant / soapy.

Clear pale gold with a small frothy white head and a sweetish bready aroma. Light to medium bodied, sweet cereal with fruity notes, a hint of spice perhaps and a dry bittersweet finish.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A hazy straw coloured pour with a tight white head; floral aroma; dry in the mouth with some oriental spice and a herbal bitterness; then lots of tea-like tannins in the finish. Not my kind of thing.

Wetherspoon 2025 Autumn Beer Festival. Ale#13 of 26 untried possibilities at the fest. Fuller-bodied light floral and herbal tasting effort, with its aftertaste bringing out its ingredients in this respect. Hopped too. Clear light golden.

Cask handpull at Barrel Vault JDW St Pancras. Haze gold colour lasting white head. Its a light citrus golden ale. Lots of lime and some spice. Coriander I guess. Certainly some decent spice flavours. Some hop character on the finish. OK spiced golden ale.
