Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours deep ruby with minimal tan head. The aroma is mainly fruity but with some hints of citrus too. In the mouth it is somewhat bitter but with a little underlying sweetness too, and a creamy texture. Flavours are mainly malts and red fruits plus hints of floral hops, toffee and spice. After a while a certain wateriness creeps in but otherwise this is quite nice.

On tap (cask) at the Babbington, Derby Tuesday 14th October 2025 in the company of Dad and Pauline. Pours amber in colour with an excellent clarity and a tight mid sized white head. This is a solid ESB, nice malty and fruity balance, hedgerow hops and berries, with a background bitterness, not always my favourite style but this is very nice.

Wetherspoon 2025 Autumn Beer Festival. Ale#15 of 26 untried possibilities at the fest. Clear darker golden, low bitterness special bitter, but has a lovely silky-clean texture to enjoy. Mild malts in both aroma and taste with sugars and low breadiness.

Hand pulled third of a pint in my local Spoons on 9th October 2025. Sixth of 7 festival beers tried on the night. Liked it so much I had a pint as well. Clean and clear amber pour, off white crown. Malty with berries and a decent bitterness.

Cask at the Cornfield Garage, Eastbourne. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light toffee. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, sweet sugary toffee, earthy, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

7/10/2025. Cask at wetherspoon beer festival, at the Corn Exchange, Bury St Edmunds. Good pour. Aroma is malty, fruity, orange, hedgerow, spiced. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Hints of toffee and chocolate malt. Quite drying. Lacks a bit of body. But it’s quite drinkable.
