We’ve set out to prove that an easy drinking, everyday beer can still be special.
Layers of US hops are set against a backbone of British malts, so what this beer lacks in strength, it makes up for in character.

Look out for fresh flavours and aromas of pine, peach, lychee & citrus fruits, tempered by a smoothly rounded bitterness to leave you wanting more.

Cask at Bootlegger, High Wycombe. Golden-amber with a thin white head. The flowers set against lemon and lime made me think of washing up liquid even though it’s not actually soapy. Grew on me as the flavours became more distinct but by that time the thought of washing up liquid was firmly in my mind. Expected better.

Cask at tap east. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting frothy off white head. Aroma is sweet hedgerow berry hop with light orange citrus notes. Rustic breads and hints of straw on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of semi sweet bready base grains, little raw grain, tangy orange citrus rind hop, woodland berry. Subtle English yeast esters. Palate is easy going, excellent cask condition,. Assertive but balanced hop bitterness. Very sessionable.

Cask at Oxford Beer Festival, Oxford Town Hall, Thursday 15th October 2015 in the company of Ferret, Grace, Ian, Geraint and Helen. Pours gold in colour. Immediately buzzy hops takeover in the mouth but there is something else, a touch of medicinal flavour going on here, but fruity and with a little spicy edge (ginger maybe?) Like it.
