Backlog. Hazy golden colour with a small white head, which vanishes quite fast. Aroma is funk, citrus, some mild floral and wooden tones with a nice tartish edge to it. Flavour is citrus, some funk, mild floral and wooden tones with some herbs and mild earth to it. A bit leathery as it warms up.

Bottle at home. Pours deep, opaque golden with quickly disappearing head. Nose is leather and citrusy, floral hops, some funk. Taste is moderately tart, somewhat sweet and bitterish, showing citric and grassy hops, light funk and a nice woody/spicy touch. Closes with a dry, bitter finish, has a light to medium body and soft carbo.

Bottle from lowcostbeer, consumed 3 months past BBE. My first beer in this particular Lambic style. Pours a cloudy gold with small white head. Aroma is tart, funky, citrus zest, white grape. Somewhat sour and dry with lemon and nice tart berry notes. Medium bodied and lowish carbonation. Nice.

Monday, 1st April 2024; Shrewsbury Monthly Gathering in Chez Sophie. Five guys, loads of beer and chat. The night's first 'cobweb', cheers Mark for the well looked after, old bottle of this sour puss. Hazed golden pour, wispy covering for a head. Vinegar fly has got in, this was difficult to drink.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, courtesy of Mark. Cheers Mark. Seems to have been released 6 or 7 years ago. Pours a hazed amber, sparse off-white foam atop. Aged aroma, mucky hop, dirty malt. Taste brings super prickly acetic grapefruit, definitely a bit of pokey age to it. Interesting to see how this has developed, but unfortunately its produced a bitter mess. I'm sure fresh this was lovely so I've rated kindly.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of horseblanket, tart, buttery brett funk, oak, vanilla, bitter citrus and wheat. Taste has dry tart green apple, buttery funk, oak, bitter grapefruit, wbeat, acidic sourness and a dry tart finish. The lambic flavor is nice, but a little balance for the dry tartness could have made it better. Still good though.
