Of course, as the Official Beer of Record Store Day, we had to create a special brew for the occasion! Insert Beer To Drink Music To. This Belgian-style Tripel is brewed with sweet orange peel, green cardamom, peppercorns and vanilla. It’s the perfect marriage of beer and music and best when paired with some of your favorite tunes.
Clocking in at 9% ABV, Beer To Drink Music To is a golden orange brew with forward notes of toffee, cardamom, cloves and subtle notes of vanilla.

Bottle. Golden in color with a two finger head. The high Gravity is well hidden and will sneak up on you. Aroma is Belgian spice with notes of cardamom and clove. Taste is well balanced flavor with hints of cardamom and a slight delicate vanilla finish.

bottle, old rating - Lightly hazy orange pour. The aroma is of yeast, spice, malt, and citrus. Yeasty, spicy, sweet flavor with some fruity notes. Quite enjoyable.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange-caramel color with a large soapy-creamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, raisin, fig and alcohol. The flavor was sweet, tangy and bitter with a strong boozy presence, yeast, perfume, dark fruits, a hint of medicine and astringency. Long finish of perfume and fruit. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing.

Clear copper and light amber coloured body with an orange glow and a nice, relatively thin, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of curacao, coriander seed, yeast, light spices, some candy sugar and a dose of full oranges. Medium to Slightly Fuller Bodied; Strong yeast and curacao flavours up front with a nice slightly muted spice note along with some grasses and dry elements and a big sweetness from honey and caster sugar on the finish. Aftertaste shows some complexity with the yeast and hay coming through, but also showing some curacao and a bit of the coriander seed freshness. Overall, a decent Tripel with some moderate complexity, but fairly straight forward, while still missing out on the carbonation and the yeast esters that usually come through in a more pronounced manner for the style. Decent to try, especially if you like the style, but perhaps a touch harder to find now. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman’s in Alexandria, Virginia on 03-May-2016 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington almost exactly a year later on 04-May-2017.

Bottle from J’s. Pours a deep gold to light amber with a small bit of head. Big cardamon nose with green walnut and coriander and a very distinct tripel-like yeast aroma. Mint and orange zest on the palate with a lingering mint flavor. Gets better as it warms. Bit of black pepper on the finish as well. --- Beer merged from original tick of Beer To Drink Music To on 16 Jan 2017 at 19:26 - Score: 7. Original review text: Big cardamon nose with green walnut and coriander. Mint and orange on the palate with a lingering mint flavor. Finish is a bit harsh, but ok

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, 7/4/16. Clear copper with a thin fizzy tan head that quickly fades. Aroma of bready malt, pepper, bubblegum, vanilla, lime, tea. The taste is citrus, pepper, spices, vanilla, bready malt. Medium bodied, low carbonation, complex and interesting.

12 oz bottle shared by csbosox. The pour is a clear golden with a smallish white head. The aroma is sweet apple fruit, and full Tripel yeast nose. The taste is initially boozy, the sweet apple fruit and the Tripel yeast which lingers some in the finish, integrating with the warming booze. The palate is medium bodied, slick oily mouthfeel and the hot sweet yeast finish. Not really my thing. Thanks for sharing this one Chris.

Bottle. amber with a pale beige head that fades to less than a coat quite quickly. 3- Aroma has lots of cardamon, hay and dough, oranges, some pepper. Dunno whether a tripel needs actual cardamon added, but I like the stuff. so. Fairly full bodied, carbonation not that high for a tripel. Sweet with hay, dough, candied oranges and yes, lots of cardomon. So much so it seems like ginger at times. Extra pepper and vanilla not obvious. Neither is booze. Cheery.
