--- Beer merged from original tick of Juliett Extra Stout on 25 May 2018 at 11:12 - Score: 8

Bottle. Black, low creamy brown head. Chocolate roast aroma, orange peel notes. Ok flavor, quick finish. Light body, mellow mouthfeel. Noncommittal

Thanks to Thirstybird for sharing. intense and liquorice in the nose. The beer us quite flat, intense viscous. Malty, fruity (plums, dark cherries). But easy to drink. The aftertaste is intense and long. Smooth, roasted, fruity. Dry with a fruity sweetness. Very nice!

50 cl bottle (6,3%) @ Tampella, Bottled 08/2012, BBE 01.09.2014
Aroma is floury with sweetish cocoa notes, soy sauce and saltiness. Flavour is somewhat hoppy with ashy notes, some cocoa and nettles. Very dry and somewhat leathery. A bit messy but decent anyway.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of light black chocolate notes with some light flora coffee notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some light black chocolate with some light dry coffee notes. Bitterness is kept to a minimum with some light residual sugars. Body is about average with great carbonation. Well done for style even with limited complexity.

Spuytin Duyvil, Brooklyn tap ($9): Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee. Taste is bitter, slightly sweet, full of dark chocolate. Body is pretty thick for a relatively light alcohol beer. Pretty complex. Good stout.
