Corked bottle. Golden color. Ginger, orange and lemon in the aroma. Sour flavor, citric, orange sweeties, quite gingery and estery, especially in the finish. I don’t like ginger, but this isn’t too dominant. Good beer.

Bottle at a brewery. Rather subtle ginger in my opinion. At least combined with the assertive sourness and funk it makes for an intense Belgian wild experience. Great.

750 ml bottle, bottled 03/2108, shared by Werckmeister, thanks! Orange, moderate hazy, a bit oily body, with a medium, fluffy, slightly yellowish head. Aroma with lots of fresh ginger, ginger ale, some cheesy funk, some citrus. Tastes pretty dry, with rosemary-like spices, ginger, wood, some apples, subtle funk. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes dry, spicy, wooden, with ginger, citrus, some apples, subtle funk. Interesting. The ginger is pretty dominant, not leaving that much room for funky or fruity notes. Still fresh and quite balanced to drink. Solid, unique stuff. Score: 7 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 14

0,75l bottle at home. Bottled 03/2018. soaked / very wet cork. yellow almost clear color, small white head. weird consistency. smells ginger, sprite-like, citric, grassy, herbal, tobacco, candy. nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, very oily / pulpy mouthfeel. tastes of ginger, earthy, citric, grassy, tobacco, herbal, rosemary, thyme. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of thyme, rosemary and some gingery notes. I quite like it, unique, mouthfeel is a bit weird, has more like a smoothie mouthfeel then a beer, love the herbal notes. very good one.

Bottle. Belgian online shop that I can’t for the life of me recall. Deep gold. Soft haze. Thick, off white foam. Loads of fizz to this. Nose has grated ginger. Ginger beer. Lemony, woody funk. Bright, sharp brett. Spicy biscuit. Taste is sharp, dry, tangy, and a little bitter. Medium body. Loads of super foamy carbonation. Touch of ginger heat. Dry and light tart finish. Very nice, albeit a bit bonkers on the fizz level.

8-3-8-4-16 Bottle. Pours clear golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is sweet notes of ginger, hay and honey, as well as wooden brett and farmyard. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart ginger, herbal brett, hay and wood, as well as farmyard and wooden barrels.

Bouteille 75cl bottled 06/2017, BB 2023. Dorée sur léger voile, col tenace montant très vite mais retombant tout autant. Arôme offre un bouquet plaisant de gueuze - funk, petite note boisée, fruitée virant sur les agrumes et un effet épicé de gingembre qui reste plutôt discret. Palais est marqué par une sécheresse latente et effervescence marquée. Note épicée du gingembre est là sans être surfaite. Le tout à une belle acidité rappelant le bonbon Napoléon, épicé du gingembre arrive en retrait. Sour lemon drop sur la fin, petite pointe boisée - funk.
