The brewer at Downtown is formerly one of the original 'beer guys' with the (RIP) New Knoxville Brewing Co. Tweaking the old New Knox IPA recipe here and there created this very acceptable IPA. Worth a try if you're in Knoxville. Good food too.

As Woodruff Traditional Dry Hopped IPA: A hazed reddish amber IPA with a thick mocha head. In aroma, light caramel malt. In mouth, an oily malt with astringent green hops, so-so. On cask at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, Oct. 22 2011.

Amber colour with ruby (wierd, huh!?) highlights and a thin off-white head. Decent hoppy aroma with a bit of a malt kick. Medium-bodied; Great hoppy flavour with a good malt balance. Aftertaste shows some hoppy flavour with a bit of alcohol. Overall, an actually pretty good IPA! I had this on draught at the brewpub in Knoxville, Tennessee on 27-September-2003.
