Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Cloudy amber pour with a white head. Tropical fruit and sweet citrus aroma. Apricot, tangerine and a whisper of caramel in the flavour. Quite a smooth number. Tasty stuff indeed.

Keg at the brewery, 06/09/14. Hazed orange amber with a well appointed light beige covering, good lacing ensues. Nose is citric peel, light booze fumes, pine, orange marmalade, bitter orange. Taste comprises chalky minerals, spice, bitter orange, bitter hops. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok DIPA but at the lower end of the spectrum for me, just a little raw and harsh in places but ticks off the style boxes. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Elusive The Double IPA on 19 Nov 2018 at 08:58 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Keg at HL1, 16/11/18. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is bitter orange, straw, light dank hop, grass, orange squash, toasted malts. Taste comprises raw pineapple, grassy, pine needle, orange pith, airy malts, melon, chase of flinty minerals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying spiked with grassy hop bitterness. Decent enough DIPA ... quite raw and pithy.

Keg at the craft beer co... Hazy copper... Thin tan lacing... Passion fruit... Dry fruit nose... Soft cheesy passion fruit... Soft juicy hop... Just to cheesy for me.

Keg at the brewery. Light haze on this amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is surprisingly light and crisp, semi dry. Thin malts, trace of caramel, not sweet. Resinous bitter pine hops, an unexpected touch of bitter wood. Sweeter orange before a dry finish that also brings green hop. Good stuff!

Keg at Craft CG. It pours deep Amber with minimal head. The nose is earthy, leather, barnyard, damp wood, leaf, dirt and alcohol. The taste is bitter, boozy, wood, earth, light spice, varnish and leaf with a pretty bitter finish. Medium+ body, soft carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A bit rough and dirty... So-so.

Tap at the brewery. Hazy, amber colour. Filmy, off white head. Sweet. Strawberry jam. Light caramel. Piny, medicinal thing, too. Taste is heavy sweet. Spicy dry. Moderate to full bitterness. Palate is full, chewy, thick and a little unctuous. Which is ok by me. Long, light dry, heavy bitter finish. My first by this brewer. Liked it a lot.

Draft at the brewery - London. Pours ear, orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has lots of wood, ripe citrus, leaves, grainy bread. Medium sweet flavor with lots of earth, dirty leaves, lightly toasted bread, grains, ripe orange, light minerals, caramel. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, sticky and resinous, lightly warming, with more ripe and somewhat jammy citrus fruits, orange, marmalade. Not very clean but fair overall.

Keg at the brewery. Translucent dark orange amber with a fleeting thin white head. Aroma is candied lemon, sharp lemon. Some spicy berry hops. Flavour is sharp lemon hop and caramel malts. Spicy piney hops round out the finish. Palate is medium full, semi sweet caramel. Aggresive clean bitterness that lingers around nice grapefruit. Decent.
