This bold and deliciously complex beer is in Imperial Buckwheat Stout aged in Tequila barrels for 13 months. Only a collection of pioneering, well seasoned, extensively traveled and passionate pub owners could come up with such a notion. A massive grain bill consisting of Pale, Munich and toasted Canadian buckwheat was blended with pearled drum-kilned barley from Chile, a generous amount of Wisconsin roasted wheat and a slug of British Crystal malts. a couple lumps of Mexican Turbinado sugar were added for good measure while we loaded the kettle with Styrian Golding hops. This carefully calculated collision of flavors, concocted over copious amounts of Orval well into the night, was laid down in fresh Tequila barrels wrangled over our southern border by the beautiful and gracious Meg Gill. We simply called the beer PNC in honor of its collaborative creators – the gothic symphony of flavors will speak for themselves. The week that PNC rolled into Paso was one to remember, but more importantly the PNC's role in the craft beer revolution should never be forgotten. Cheers to the PNC!

12 oz boxed bottle. Aroma has notes of booze, wood, chocolate, sherry, cinnamon, licorice, cola. Pours opaque dark brown to black with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is lightly to moderately sweet, a little savory and moderately bitter with flavors like the aroma with an emphasis on notes of tequila, sherry and licorice.

12oz boxes bottle from Tavour. Dark brown pour, beige foamy head settles to ring. Aroma is boozy, malty, molasses, sweet. Taste is sweet, boozy, nutty, chocolate, toffee and a hint of vanilla. Lingering sweetness and warmth.

On tap at Apex. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has bourbon, dark bready malts, and chocolate. Flavour has a ton of bourbon up front, lots of rich malts. Huge boozy beer, well executed.

On tap at Apex. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma has bourbon and rich malts. Flavour has huge bourbon up front with roasted malts and wood throughout. Smooth mouthfeel. Fantastic, has held up very well for an 11 year-old beer.

Draught at Monk's: blackish with beige head. Aroma is boozy barrels, loads of chocolate, vanilla. Taste is boozy, boosty, sweetish. Complex. Large.

Draught @ Brouwers, listed specifically as Batch 2. Dark brown, medium head. Sweet, toasty, the tequila barrel hits boozy, it'�s off-dry, for me I miss richness, so the barrel throws decent complexity but it doesn'�t really come together.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, vanilla, caramel, treacle, hints of tequila, taste is similar, sweet, a bit of fruit.

Lõhn on väga vaadine, burboon, alks, linnnased, röst, magus, šokolaad. Maitse on sarnane, aga ka oma jagu linnaseid, mõrudust, tekiilat, suhkrut. Õhtu lõpetajana täitsa mõnusalt dekadentlik, aga liiga magusa poole kaldu, et saada paremat hinnet.
