Très surprenant l’équilibre atteint avec les épices; souvent, ça goûte trop ou pas assez. Bonne, riche, de qualité, rien à redire...

Single from the local IGA store. Pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and sticky-dirty lace. Smells like a beautiful witbier with the fresh coriander and wheat notes. The taste is spicy as well with some light orangy malts and mild grassy hops. A nice brew, but do not taste as much the advertised cloves and cinnamon.

12 oz. bottle, with a date of Jan 2014. Nice aroma of coriander, floral hops and rosemary.
Flavor is very herbal, rosemary, parsley, and coriander is the lasting lingering flavor. Lots of pale malts with the herbs giving the bitterness. ABV is hidden nicely. Overall, a solid Belgain Strong.

Cloudy straw orange. Nose is coriander and a little honey and spice. Pretty herbal. Taste has a lot of orange, pretty yeasty, herbs and spices. Very nice. 3.9

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet apricot and bubblegum aromas. Slick with bubblegum and yeast upfront turning dry in the lasting marshmallow finish.

Bottle received in trade. Thank you pushkinwow! Pours deep golden with a rather small offwhite head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace in the glass. Smell is sweet, phenolic, estery and very spicy with wheat crackers, banana bread, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, hay, pepper corns and hints of alcohol and lemon zest. Taste is slightly bitter, phenolic and very spicy with wheat crackers, bergamot, banana bread, alcohol, nutmeg, pepper corns, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, hay an lemon zest. Mouthfeel is round, spicy astringent and medi bodied. Finish is bitter and spicy with banana bread, white bread, hay, spices, lemon zest and hints of wood. Way to spicy to suit me. First Dieu du Ciel beer I wasn’t impressed by. Serving it with sushi saved it a little.

Draft - Clove and cinnamon dominate. Clear gold with a thin head. Clove and spices with a bitter bite. A bit over the top on spices but if you like clove and cinnamon you are going to enjoy this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur or limpide, mousse blanche disparaissant rapidement en laissant un anneau et un voile léger. Arôme de clou de girofle intense, canelle. Goût de clou de girofle tout aussi intense, un peu sucré, amertume en fin de bouche. Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen.

12oz bottle I received via trade with pushkinwow. Thanks! Pours a hazy, pulpy orange with some soft, lacing white head. Aroma is excellent, lemon grass, cinnamon, all spice, peach, wheat, yeast, ripe fruit. Favor is sweet, fruity, peach, grass, pineapple candies, white pepper, orange zest. Full, sweet finish. Sort of reminds me of a cross between a hef and a tripel. Nice.

Aroma: Cinnamon and clove with tiny bit of hops. Appearance: Rather blond than white, slightly hazy. Creamy head, long lasting, sticking well to glass with a fair lacing. Taste: Attack is explosively spicy with a strong banana accent. Alcohol is giving a round and warm feel. Refreshing also. Spices are very strong and could be more subtle. They are masking all other flavors. Typical winter wittbeer but very spicy.
