Bottle from Flink Gegist, Delft. Aroma is dark malt, dark fruits, prunes, coffee, blackcurrant, chocolate, and some liquorice. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter. Body is a tad above medium. Not your typical Impie with its heavy dark fruits, then some more familiar flavours kick in with chocolate, coffee and dark malts. Anyway, I found it quite tasty.

Tap @ NBFD. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, roast, hint of licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet caramelly flavor, with very well hidden alcohol. Soft spicy notes.

Bottle at home, on the roof under the bats. Black with thin tan head. Sweet dark malts, licorice, molasses, brown sugar, butterscotch and some dark fruit. Big sweet and bitter. About medium body, and very little (= too little) carbonation. Oof! This is way off... Aromawise it could have been a decently enjoyable stout but I’m currently not enjoying this 33cl pour of flat watery roasty sugar syrup at all... EDIT: Ok, my expectations were based on the description Imperial Stout. It’s not. Once I accept that this is not that bad. But it says so on the label and I’ll stick with my point. It’s a shitty imperial stout, that ended up as an ok stout.

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, thin light brown head. Taste: Dark roasted malt, fruity, notes of red fruit and hints of green apple. Slightly below medium sweetness. Towards and at the finish notes of dark chocolate and some more bitterness. Medium body, below average carbonation.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black, no head, flat as a pancake. Aroma of liquorice, molasses, roasted malts, some dark fruits. Flavour is sweet, fruity, sticky, molasses and liquorice. Medium bodied. Lacks a bit of depth of flavour imho.

Thank you Klaas! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG17. Dark brown to black, mocha bubbles. Nose is herbal with brown banana, sugar, BE yeast, herbal, overripe dark fruit. Taste is herbal chocolate, cacao, mocha, BE yeast, brown banana, overripe fruit,… Body is BE dark fruit & herbal. Not too impressive painfully classical Belgian styled brew, RIS description is hugely unfitting here.
