Bottle shared thanks to Maakun. Really nice label featuring a wonderful picture of a half rabbit, half woman character with massive pointy (not big floppy) ears, big sheep hair, a traditional German outfit and not one, but two beers! Really solid design. The label is limited to a red, black and white colour scheme. A simple, yet effective contrast highlighting the white fluffiness of the bunny-woman and inspiring me to taste the beer. So the beer itself is a cloudy amber brown with a tan head. Aroma of cherries, a little tart, caramel and malt. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet, light to moderate bitter and light sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Great label.

Bottle shared thanks to Santa minutemat. Hazy copper with nice beige head. Toffee, light roasted malts, bit of cherry jam, quite some herbs, marzipan, bitter alcohol, light nuts. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and light sour. Over medium bodied.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy deep amber, cream head. Aroma is creamy, cherry, Belgian yeast, sugary candy. Taste is smooth sweet yeast, vanilla, marzipan, blueberries, lactose, tripel yeast. Possibly too rich, sweet & smooth for a scotch ale, but as I have a sweet tooth I rather like it.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Cloudy brown with a beige head. Aroma of cherry, almond, plastic, yeast, alcohol. Sweet-sourish flavor with malt, caramel, cherries, yeast, alcohol, and weird bitterness. Medium-bodied. Not great.

Hazy amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Airy malts, light creamy sweetness. Trace of caramel. Tangy cherry with turns a little sharp. Light dry finish. Nicely joined up and pretty drinkable.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Clear, ruby red. Thin, messy, off white head. Black cherry. Maraschino cherry. Some toffee. Some vinous tartness. There’s a yeasty tartness, too. Bit of blackcurrant. Plenty going on. Taste is light tart. Light sweet. Unctuous, syrupy, fruity, but not cloying palate. The tartness takes care of that. Finishes dry, tart , and with a cherry sweetness rounding things off. Rich, tart, refreshing, and really drinkable.
