Bottle at the RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is crisp fresh yeast. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, grassy with some dry pepper spice on the palate.

Bottled @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Boring, metallic, bit caramel. Spicy belgian yeast. I cant imagine this is truly a golden ale/blond ale. Should be belgian ale, as it is nowhere near a typical english ale. Whatever style, it’s not good.

Bottle, from DHVL - cheers to them for this one, at the 500 miles tasting in the Sham, 23/03/13. Hazed dark amber with a thin off white head that clears to the edge. Nose is sugar, Belgian yeast strains, toffee, light fruit. Taste comprises caramel, smokey/acrid tones, ash, dark fruits touch of hops. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, dry and crisp in the finish. Ok stuff - nothing I’d return too though!

Got a 75 cl. bottle for free from DHL as a goodbye gift. THX! Cool service. Hazy golden, with a creamy white head. Soft peaches, fruity, light enjoyable sweet spices, touch esters on the nose. Bitter overripe peaches, lightly earthy, zest, old lemon peel, lingering BE hop bitterness in the back, esters, tad basement but as part of profile & not age. Airy light stuff with firm carbonation. Very enjoyable.

Bottle @ De Heeren provided gratis as a night cap for staying the night at the establishment. Hazy dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Quite spicy, a bit orange citrusy hoppy, somewhat toasty aroma. Toasty, light caramel, sweet, fresh bready, orange citrusy, tangy, fairly spicy, somewhat floral flavor. Pretty tasty stuff.

Tap at DHL during Paul’s pre-wedding beer weekend. Fuzzy orange pour with a big, frothy white head. Mild floral hops in the nose, light alcohol and doughy bread. Medium to big sweet flavor, some light spice, bread. Medium to full in body with fine to average carbonation. Pleasantly sweet to finish with light bitterness, faint grass and dandelion, light toasted sugar, faint caramel. Very nice stuff. (3.6)

Bottle at the 500 Miles Tasting, the Sham - thanks to DHL for this bottle. Nice beer. Fairly sweet, moderate bitter straw, biscuits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Mild dryness to finish, sweet pale malts. Tasty beer. (3.6)

Post Borefts I jaunt to De Heeren van Liedekercke. Kerkom version. Hazy gold beer. Soft palate. Rich caraway nutty malt. Feels like a decent German beer!
