Draught @ Beer Museum, Brugge. Slightly hazed amber colour with a thick frothy head. Nose has some yeast, a slice of fruit and a small sweetness. More sour in taste and not active in the palate at all given its unfiltered style. There’s a small maltiness here and some yeast again.

Cask @ Antwaerps Bierhuiske during RBESG. Hazy orange color, thick creamy white head that leaves good lacing. Smell and taste lightly malts, some kind of soft grainy basis, some butter and a slight touch of some sort of fruityness. Soft body, soft carbonation.

15 cl. draft sample @ Bierpassie Weekend XIII // not entirely sure myself why I am ticking this // hazy amber with a firm white head // smell is sweat & fruity grains // taste is sweet synthetic grains, citrus, grains, small group of caramel & slightly plastic fruits standing on the side of the field, too much grains for my taste, this is mostly ok // hazy, touch grains body // It is better but that regular Palm but so is water or maybe even gasoline or male loving, setting yourself on fire, genocide… it is also quite different from what I remember the mass one being but is it any good, you can drink it if it miraculously appears in your hands, more effort,… // all kidding aside even if this is not that good & too grainy it is drinkable & not particularly objectionable // filtering makes everything, much worse

Hazy brown colour, cream head. Aroma of caramel, bread, malts, banana and yeast. Rather sweet flavour, quite fruity. The banana is more to the background than in regular Palm. Quite fruity finish with very pronounced yeast notes.
Had to try this, as regular Speciale Palm is one of the beers I grew up with. Quite a bit better than regular Palm -aside from the looks.

On tap in De Engelbewaarder. Slightly hazy amber beer with a good ivory head. Low carbonation. Fresh mild malt with a little dried fruit. The malt turns a little lagerish towards the finish. Alright.

06/03/2011 - on tap @ Zythos Beer Festival (2011-91)

Cloudy amber to beige beer, creamy white big head. Aroma: yeast, caramel, bready, banana peel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: caramel, very bready yeast, hops, some citrus, bit fruity. Aftertaste: toasted malts, hops, some apple skin. Man, why would anyone ever want a regular Palm after having tasted this?
