Poured from 22oz bottle a clear amber gold with a smallish head of foam that pretty much maintains its size for the entire session.
Btw, they have a year and month bottled on the label but nothing was notched.
The smell is on the subtle side with faint whiffs of grassy and citrusy hops.
The taste is really grassy and it has some good citrus flavour as well..mainly lemon, with a really faint malt presence but... I *like* what the hops are doing in this IPA and it's making for some really good drinkability so being weak in the malt isn't going to hurt my review of this American IPA at all. Good stuff!
Bottom line: A nice American IPA from a small brewery in Boulder Colorado. Give it a chance if you find some.

Hotel room breakfast tasting with Jack & Leighton, Hilton Tampa, 22/02/15. Golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, light pine, bitter citric peel. Taste is caramel malt forward, orange, light pine, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so - generic old skook brew pub malt driven IPA affair.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2015. Pours clear orange gold with a frothy white head. Pale bread in the aroma, rindy orange. Medium sweet flavor with crackery pale malts, old pine needles, citrus peel, metal. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Boring finish, perhaps a bit aged, with dusty pine, leaves, dry citrus, more crackers. So so.

Hazy dark gold/amber with a tall, sticky white head. Fruity citrus hop aroma. The flavor is mostly bitter but there is a good malt support balancing this out nicely. Good solid IPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of grains, citric and floral hops, a bit stale, and an acidic touch. Sourish flavor, kinda weird, with some citric hops, a bit stale and a bit "green" and some bitterness. Medium-bodied. The sourness is weird.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is pine, hemp, resin, and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with nice bitter grapefruit, pine, and nice bitter finish, easy to drink, good.

Bottle, 22 oz. It forms a dense fingerthick off-white head over a clear, dark golden body. The initial aroma has lots of citrus peel, but soon pine cones and a malty sweetness kicks in. It’s a tad sweet on the palate, lightly malty, but still the hops win easily. Bitterness, pine cones, resins and a grass touch shows up. Full body, semi-sweet, with a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish with a tad too much sweetness. Some metallic hints too. Overall, sure decent, but too much on the malty side. 140512

16oz can pours a translucent, burnt orange with some creamy, white head. Nose is noticeably piney - even from a few feet away, very soapy, some orange peel, a little grapefruit peel too. Flavor is fairly standard, mostly orange peel, some lemon, pine, caramel, a little cracker, some soap. Medium, slightly bitter finish. Not an award winner, but just fine as is.
