Sunlight Cream Ale is our most approachable beer and is a great introduction to the world of Craft Beer. Cream ale is one of the earliest styles of American beer, but was virtually wiped out by American lager brewers.
Our Cream Ale is an all malt beer. Only the finest quality barley, wheat and oats are used to give this beer it’s smooth malt profile which is delicately balanced with American hops and a cool fermentation to give this beer a crisp, clean finish.

Smells like and orange cream soda. Pours golden with fluffy initial head. Initial aroma kind of dissipates in the mouth quickly to leave a little straw. Can.

Can from luekins. Nose is certainly orange, almost artificial but not. Eye is clear pale. On the tongue it certainly has a creamy attitude, like cream soda. Yes, think about orange and then think about cream soda, this is it. No hops present what so ever, and I am thankful of that. Orange soda, think orange cream soda. Its easy and its like creamy orange cream soda. Pleasantly surprised. Good overall beer tasting experience. Not bad!

Keg at the brewery, sampled Nov 2019. Pours clear golden with an off-white cap. Aroma: grains, light floral, earthy hops. Taste: light to moderate sweet, smooth malts, wheat, oats, hop bitterness on the finish. Light body with moderate carbonation. Unremarkable

Can from Big Top; pours golden with white head. Aroma is grainy and corny. Taste is sweet, macro tasting. Can is a little old. So it goes.

12 oz. can. Pours a crystal clear light gold color with a white head and very good retention. Fair lacing. Light grainy aroma. Tastes like a pale lager to me. Grainy pale malt flavor with a hint of diacetyl in the finish. Smooth. Softer mouthfeel than a typical pale lager. Enjoyable.

[12oz can from Total Wines, Naples.] A straw coloured pour with a thick white head; aroma of popcorn; sweet with a smooth creamy body; and a slight grassy bitterness. Good to get a rating for Indiana, but I won't be drinking this regularly.

Hazy golden coloured body with a large just off-white head. Aroma of grass, light wheat and hay and a dose of just pure mellow yeasts without much of anything. Light to Medium-bodied; Pure malty and grassy flavours with only a touch of wheat grain and not much else - perhaps some citrus, curacao and full oranges without any grain or bitterness with a light yeast and kick towards the end. Aftertaste shows the light grain flavours and some of the subtle sugars from the pure caster sugar and not much else, a mellow earthy and yeast touch at the very end that makes this a bit more complex and easy-drinking at the same time, but this is all pretty subdued throughout. Overall, a nice and grainy flavour that shows well, but is very easy-drinking throughout with some mellow flavours. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom, Eye Street, NW), DC on 07-July-2017 for US$3,49 sampled just over a year later in my hotel room here in New York, New York on 11-August-2018.

The beer pours a bright golden color, like your basic lawnmower lager, with a brief head. The smell is just slightly hoppy, only noticeably more so than the average light lager. And the taste is just a little bit sweet, with a larger dash of malt than my average cream ale. Taste is light yet malty. Just a bit of hop from its 20 IBU. A decently done post-lawnmower beer, or one for a hot summer night.
