On tap @ Cardinal. Clear golden with a really nice and stable off-white head. Relatively mild but distinct grassy aroma with a hint of pine. Flavor is sweet malt with a grassy bitterness leading to a dryer finish. Medium body and more grassy hops in the aftertaste. OK and refreshing, but not any complexity at all, this is almost just grassy and bitter. Missing some fruitiness here.

On tap at Cardinal. A more or less clear one, golden in color and with a dense, two-finger white head. Lacings too. The aroma is piney and citrus peel-like, with some maltyness in the back. Medium body, too heavy on carbonation. Pleasantly blended flavor with citrus peel, pine cones and maltyness. Not really dry, nor anything near sticky. A quite pleasant one, almost quenching, and quite tasteful. 120626

0,4 l fra fat på Cardinal. 4,7% (?) endelig en pils med mye smak og aroma av honning. Fremtredende humle og mer enn et hint av urter og hylleblomst. Minner om Fynsk Forår, men med mer humle. Nam!

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden (or deep golden, if you like) colour, moderate white head. Nice hoppy aroma, herbal and honeyish notes, hints of elderflowers. Distinctly hoppy flavour, herbal notes again, quite dry, biscuity notes too, a little fruit just before the bitterness takes over completely. Long bitter aftertaste. This must be Norway’s most well-hopped pilsener, Reminds me of Svijany Rytir Bitter.
