The Triple is a strong, full-bodied Belgian abbey-style ale. The authentic Belgian yeast strain used in fermentation contributes to a rich array of spicy, phenolic, and fruit-like flavors and noticeable alcoholic warmth. This unfiltered ale has an irresistible pale orange-colored hazy glow.

Slightly cloudy copper pour with small frothy head. Aromas are floral and fruity with a sweet yeasty backdrop. Flavor is pretty big. Slightly astringent character is a bit distracting, but nice sweet malt mixes with clove-like spices and fruit notes in the guise of apple and orange. Fairly decent, if the flavor could do a bit more to cover the rubbing alcohol flavors that develop about midway through.

Offwhite, smallish head; hazy red body. Sweet, spicy aroma of paradise seeds, stale hops, and bread, with something sharp in it. Sharp taste of paradise seeds and citrusy hops, faint roasty notes. Citrusy hops and bitterness make up the van. Quite good, but too much yeast, not enough balance, and not enough complexity.

I have had this beer a few times over the last couple of years. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy dark apricot color with small floaters and a small foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma is very sweet with a strong tangy candied fruit element and moderate sourdough bread. The flavor is strong sweet sugar with candied fruits, sourdough bread, clove and honey. Long finish with a mild alcohol burn. The body is moderately thick. Well done.

An unclear orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol and spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of alcohol, spices, and peaches. OK triple.

Yellowish dense head over hazy amber-orange beer. End of bottle is solid opaque yeast. Perfumed, dry-spicey (cloves) nose, quite citrussy. Fiery burning caramel and leafy taste, touch of butterscotch, orangezest, fruity & spicey flavours. Dry bitterish finish. Burning MF, alcohol, slick, well-bodied. Good tripel, well in the established style requirements. "Glowing orange" is not a bad description, and I’m not talking about appearance alone.

From the newer 12 ounce bottle line and simply labeled "Triple." Cloudy orange appearance with a thin off-white head. Banana, clove, and citrus aroma. Clove is abundant in the flavor profile, with banana holding ground in a distant 2nd place. At the same time, this is on the sweeter end of the Tripel spectrum, but I prefer the spices toned down a bit.

Pleasant raising bread aroma with a little spice. Confectioner’s sugar with spice yeast and alcool warmth. Watery body though.7-3-6-2-13
On Tap at Blue Tusk, Feb.3, 2006. Orange amber with a thin white head. Sweet candi sugar aroma, light coriander and smooth alcohol warmth. Nice candi sugar with coriander, ginger notes and a whopping amount of alcohol. Rich and pleasing, and well done 8-4-8-4-14

Pours like a traditional Abbey Triple. Spicy fruity aroma coming off an orange brew. Lots of citrusy, malty notes in the flavor. Very respectable Triple. Better line up a friend to share, there's a lot of beer in one of their champagne like bottles.

Murky, muddy beige. Aroma of peppery alcohol, some pale malts and peach esters. Firm alcoholic body, with light spiciness and hedgey hops. Finish is yeastier.

Decent flavor, but somehow way out of balance - the finish is like alcohol and concentrated vitamin solution - that totally ruins it for me.
