Tuppers’ Hop Pocket Pils is made via a complex hopping schedule which includes dry hopping for weeks over whole-flower Saaz and Mt. Hood hops. Also used are Saaz, Mittelfruh, Spalt and Mt. Hood in the kettle. The beer is bottled and keg conditioned which provides very fine carbonation and a fine head.

Aroma is hay, quite a bit shitty, with a banana overtone. Pour is hazy golden with a thick snow white head. Taste is beans, some grain, some bitter hops. Finish is literally very shitty. Hidden carbonation over powers the taste. I had this years ago and didn’t like it. Now I remember why.

Light hop aroma; seems fruity. Brassy gold color with a white head that sticks around. A light apricot or nectarine aroma as the glass approaches the lips. Carbonation is smooth and mild. Starts with sweet fruit. A bit thin bodied. Perhaps both floral and fruit hop. The finish is a bit astringent, and well balanced with light sweet and light bitter. This could pass for a pale ale.

Want List Bottle from Shigadeyo! Bottled 9 21 06. Nose of wheat and light flowery hops, like a good Pilsener should smell; slightly hazed darker gold with a medium white head; flavor is wheaty with a decent hop bitterness, and a little pepperiness. Body is light medium and the finish is all hops. Great Pils!

Cloudy light yellow color with a creamy white head. Sweet citrus aroma. Flavor of floral hops, a citrus edge, and a light bitter ending.

Bottle. Never been a huge fan of pilsner, but this one was absolutely fantastic. Light golden color, with a pretty foamy head. Very smooth and finishes pretty dry. Extremely crisp and is almost as good as the Hop Pocket Ale. Original rating is a 3.2 before I re-rated this beer.

Bottle: Poured a golden color pils with super huge fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma of well balances floral hops. Taste is quite refreshing with a good malt backbone and nice crisp hops. Body is above your average pils. Very good for the style.

2004 bottle compliments of bucknaked. Good bright pale gold pour, small white head with sediment in the bottom of the glass. Aroma of pils malt, light herbally hops and grass, an ever so faint amount of sour yeastiness. Flavor is crisp clean, fresh and hoppy. Lots of lightly spicy saaz mix with a touch of mt hood on the finish to produce a good amount of bitterness. Great delicate backbone on it as well, smooth, creamy and warm honey flavors. Light zesty carbonation, medium body. Drinking this stuff ice cold is about as refreshing as it gets. It gives a wonderful bitterness, great body as you swallow it and then a malty finish. Superb.

Classic Pilsner pour - golden yellow with a rich creamy head. Nice clean hop & malt aroma. Clean, dry and refreshing with a nice hop bite. Not quite a Boh Pils, but a well hopped Pils. Very Nice.

Where do I start? I have loved the Hop Pocket Ale for like two years now, and I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle of this for quite a while. Finally, at the R.F.D in Washington (owned by the people who own the Brickskeller). I've sampled the Prima Pils (by Victory), and this beer suits my taste buds much more. Pale colour, with a light and subtle hoppy smell. The taste is immaculate. Something so light with an actually hoppy taste is a very good thing! I could have drunk five of these and not really known! By far the best pilsner for me. Prima Pils was good, but its got nothing on Tupper!

Golden; refined hop aroma; biscuity malts underneath honeyish, floral hops (Mt Hood influence); smooth palate, crisp finish. Simple but effective.
