On tap at the brew pub. Thin creamy off white head. Clear almost black pour. Lovely bitterness. Easy drinking.

Tap at Kaapse 2nd Anniversary. Very roasted chocolate malts. Light old dusty coffee taste, coffee candy. Medium sweet, medium bitter, some vegetal note in there. Under medium body, liw carbo. Ok.

Tap at Kaapse Brouwers festival. Almost black with beige head. Coffee, roasted malts, light milk, lime, rotten herbs, soft chalk. Light sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied. Slight rotten and milky notes are a bit off putting.

Sample draft @ BBP, Kaapse Brouwers event. Fin brun, col léger beige. Arôme au nez fruité rétro malté alternant bien avec le grillé et sorte de rétro frais de thé vert. Palais est agréablement bien centré sur la malté, caramel avec un accompagnement fleuri houblonné plaisant. Petite note chocolatée en fin de bouche qui accompagne bien le côté froment malté qui ajoute une petite rondeur.

Sampled draft @ Brussels Beer Project. Black, solid tanned head. Nose is molasses & malt syrup with black berries syrup, low weird heavy perfume hop. Taste is just molasses, licorice syrup malts, malt syrup, weird perfume, lightly floral, hop nearly drowns in this massive molasses / syrup affaire. Very molasses / malt syrup like, odd but decent enough. Strange beer, shows similarities with Dorien their supposed Brown Ale.

Tap at the taptakover hosted by BBP. Pours clear, very dark brown. Smell is sharp, bit bitter. Taste is sharp, bitter, some dark malts, bit metallic.

Draft at Kaapse. Dark brown with a small cream head. Aroma of malt, grassy hops, fruity hops, light roast, light citrus and a little dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
