Tap @CBC15. Black with small brown head. Bretty, roasted aroma. Sweet, fruity, roasted and slightly funky flavor. Well balanced this one.

Keg at Sirens 2nd birthday bash at the brewery, 07/03/15. Black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is dark fruit rinds, spice, chocolate, musty wood, treacle toffee, red berry tang, sour berry. Taste comprises rich roast, dark toffee fudge, fruit cake mix, chocolate, light bourbon wood strokes, hint brett, red berry skins, liquorice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid enough impy but not the best from the bearded lady series for me.

Keg at the Siren 2nd birthday. Opaque black coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is big bitter roast malt, funky Brett funk, horsey, little bit of wood, some hot alcohol. Flavour is nice sweet creme caramel, coffee, funky Brett, light subtle horsey funk, but sweet. Palate is full , sweet, moderate. Lingering tangy fruits and wood. Nice complexity.

On tap at Siren, Brewery 2nd Anniversary Event, Finchampstead, Saturday 7th March 2015 I much preferred this to the orange and chocolate version. The brett gives this real character, yes the big stouty flavours are still there but now they’re all funked up with a lovely fruity tang (tart ripe summer fruits) a little bit of brine as well. Excellent and one of my favourite beers today. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Keg at Siren event. 7th March 15. Wow some serious beer geeks here, any way this beer is a stand out from the high standard at the event. The base beer is excellent, the Brett counters the sweetness and this beer is outstanding, went back for more....

Keg at the siren event... Deep black.. Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet chocolate roast malts nose.. Dark roast... Chocolate malts.. Dark heavy roast... Big chocolate.... Rich roast.. Light dry bretty roast... Soft cherry... Big chocolate... Dark chocolate.. I think temperature is killing this... Tap at CBC15... Dark black thin.. Soft dark chocolate roast.. Light dry breet nose.. Dark fruits.. Dark malts.. Soft fruits.. Long brett... Deep chocolate roast.. But the brett seems more dominant 3.9

Keg at Siren. It pours jet black with a small tan head. The nose is rich earthy roast, candied peel, Irn bru, orange rind, cocoa, vanilla, bounty bar, dirt and farmhouse. The taste is bitter, earth, rich roast, earth, chocolate, vanilla, spice, dirt, funk, warming alcohol, varnish, liquorice, orange rind. salted caramel, barnyard and treacle with a drying finale. Full body and moderate carbonation. An interesting version of this. Not my favourite version but good fun.

Keg at the Siren Maiden fest. Pours oily black with a creamy beige head. The nose has some charred malts, rich chocolate, ash, curtains of brett. Heavy sweet flavor with lots of dark sugars, ripe dark fruits, subtle funk, syrupy chocolate. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish with sticky dark fruits, dates, raspberry, cocoa, background roast and brett. Good stuff, maybe just a little too sweet.
