Tap at Rootz. Clear darker golden with small off white head. Sweet malts up front, light cloves, light spices, peach, dried pear. Quite malty and sweet with typical spicy Belgian yeast and some added fruits and spices. Over medium sweet, just medium bitter and almost full bodied. It’s very typical Belgian strong stuff that I wouldn’t drink much of, but it’s OK for what it is.

[Thank you for sharing!][Sampled draft as "Winter Brigand" @ O.B.E.R. Kerstbierfestival 2016] Clear golden, little white head. Nose is cold esters, soap, overly metallic & served far too cold. Taste is weird, hollow, hugely metallic, thin, iron, faint vegetables, overall just very metallic. Body is very thin & hugely metallic, iron. Poor.

(Draught at Eetcafé de Poort, Utrecht, 26 Feb 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of tropical fruit, grainy malt and canned peaches. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, canned peaches, candy sugar and a gentle grassy, spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Not very complex, but tasty and quite warming. Quite nice.
