Lattice is a dry-hopped Farmhouse Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with 2nd Shift Brewing in New Haven, Missouri. This farmhouse ale was fermented in French Oak puncheons with our house Saison strain and a soft blend of Brettanomyces strains, dry-hopped with Amarillo and Galaxy hops, and naturally conditioned in this bottle.

Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a hazy pale yellow with a fluffy white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a strong funk note with an earthy grass note, some light fruits and a slight hint of menthol. Flavor has a light tart fruit note with some earthy grass and a good amount of funk backing.

Bottle sample @ ACBF’15. De couleur dorée paille, léger trouble, col blanc. Arôme est fleuri et houblonné, pointe de fruité avec un rétro rappelant le funk et barnyard. Palais est légèrement aigrelet, note de paille, agrumes avec ce léger côté houblonné. Profil grains rappel un peu la drêche avec un fini qui est définitivement centré sur des levures sauvages. Pointe boisée en fin de bouche, finement épicée avec un côté vin blanc qui est léger. Je trouve peu du côté Galaxy portant tellement unique. De plus en plus ces farmhouse américaines trouvent leur niche, et la comparaison avec une saison belge et même une bière de garde n’a plus vraiment de raison d’être. Dommage de tjrs avoir recours à ce brett.

Almost no head, fully hazy beer as pineapple juice. Ginger-ish and other root spices, bit of citrus for nose. Citrus, no more ginger in the mouth. A bit peppery, the flavour tends gradually towards lemonsquash. Light body, but perfectly balanced character. In fact, this is pretty great! Thanks to AdamJackson and friend!

Thanks to Fux! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ ACBF 2015. Hazy golden, little white head. Lactic fruit, light mineral, very USA style. Taste is lactic, peach, bready base, apricot, USA criters,… Med. body, slightly fizzy. Pretty one-note and a bit dull. Okay ‘though. (Thanks for sharing people!!!)

Cloudy, bright yellow. It gushed only slightly after a long journey. 3 finger solid white head fades quickly. Very nice funky aroma, hay, lots of wheat, a little salty really nice aroma though, loving the lemon aroma. Explosive carbonation, great mouthfeel. tight bubbles. lots of really fresh citrus, lemon juice, maybe some olive brine but the funky saison and crisp honey. Decent saison.

Cloudy milky yellow beer, aery irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit frunky, dairy, sweet, wheat, fruity, some overripe banana. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, citrus, sour touch, bit funky, some artificial brett, Y-yeast package? Aftertaste: lemony, sourish, hay, bit funky, wild, citrus, bitter hoppy finish.
