Bottle, from Chios Brewery, Chios, Greece (Aug 2025). Pours dark brown with faint red highlights, frothy dark beige head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, bitter coffee-dark chocolate taste, thin body, long bitter finish. Tasty brew.

33cl Fles van Funky Hops Naxos. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Flink gebrand, oldskool oatmeal stout, inkt, koffie met room, pure chocolade, wordt wat minder bitter als het bier opwarmt. Medium body. Mooie klassieke stout.

On tap at the strange brew tap room in Athens. Pours black with a thick tan head - pretty sure this is a nitro beer. Aroma is coffee, dark malts, chocolate. Flavour is dark malts, lots of coffee, cacao. Nice, slight hoppy note as well. Very drinkable like all their beers.

Cremiger, leicht süßer Röstbeginn. Milde Bitterkeit, etwas Lakritz, wenig Schokolade. Trocken, ansteigend nach Lakritz, rund. Bitter würziger Abgang. 10/11/9/9/10/9

330ml bottle bought at Foods n' Goods. Remaining fawn-coloured head, scattered lacing, almost black in the glass. Lightly roasted malty aromas, scent of cocoa. Cocoa-chocolate flavours, joined by a nutty twist and moments of dried fruits. Malt-fruity tail, lightly roasted. Well bodied. Pretty good. (Hotel room, Chania 29.05.2023).

44cl can. A black beer with a big brownish head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, coffee, some chocolate. Taste of roasted dark malt, coffee beans, some chocolate, long roasted bitter finish.

Bottled. Deep brown, close to black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted, some rye bread, toasted and mild sweet malty tones with some toffeeish tones. Flavour is liquorice, toasted, some mild chocolaty, ashy and rather roasted tones with mild herbal elements.
