Draft at Oedipus International Beer Festival. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of big malt upfront with light toast, caramel and toffee. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at OIBF’16. Dark brown to black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, pumpernickel, hint of mocha. Flavour is medium sweet, roast, some dark fruits, hint of chocolate, pumpernickel, bittersweet finish. Light bodied. Standard Schwarz imo.

Sampled from tap at the Oedipus International Beer Festival 2016. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, some coffee and some hazelnut. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, some coffee and hazelnut, followed by a short, slightly roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really nice for that style!

Tap at TCBW. Pours copper-black. Aroma is cocoa and malt. Flavor is sweet, malt, cocoa. Body is watery. Overall: ok, but too watery.

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Intense roast aroma, slightly burnt but just the right amount. Chocolate, liquorice. A bit boring in taste, quite watery. But that aroma is to kill for!

On tap at What’s Brewiong beer festival 2015, Stavanger. Pours dark brown with solid off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, dark bread. Tastes a bit sweet, roasted bitterness. Smooth mouth feel. A very good Schwarzbier.

Nice and intense Schwarzbier. Round and deep, bitter with a great dark roasted body. Hints of liquorice, dry roasted malts. The body has even sweetish hints, great depth, great roasted malts. The body is smooth and round. Great stuff!
