Dark brown, bubbly head. Earthy nose, choc, light coffee, bit of nuttiness. Nice nose. Chocolate palate, sweet. Lightish lager body, with plums and dates and figs. Tasty.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small white light brown head. Aroma is loaded with dark chocolate, roasted malt, and a touch of coffee. Flavour is fairly thick, with lots of chewy dark cocoa, medium roasted malt and a hint of coffee. Very silky and chewy palate. Decadent and nicely structured. Really good.

Euro-Flasche: Literally black, big fluffy and pretty slowly collapsing tanned head; moderate sweet-sourish nose of dried fruits, minerals, dark malt and liquorice, ornated by traces of vegetables; smooth, silky MF, moderate to solid sweet-bitter and sourish flavour, full bodied as expected; lingering sourish-leathery finish with many fruity traces. Not bad for a beer from the Sauerland...

500 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Big roasted malt aroma with additional notes of dark fruit and chocolate. Flavors of licorice, chocolate covered blueberries, and slick roasted malts. A funny finish though - cardboard and sour before returning to dusty roasted malts.

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Freigeist Prussian Imperial Stout ].[ Courtesy of Serge ]. Clear dark black brown colour with a small large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, rye, roasted, chocolate, raisin, plum, wood, light soy sauce. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark chocolate, roasted, chocolate, licorice wood, dark malt, raisin, plum. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20170710] 7-4-7-5-15

Draft at Craft Beer Corner, Cologne. Black with a small thick beige head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, licorice, light burnt notes, dark ripe fruits, coffee and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with a thick sticky texture and very soft carbonation.

Sampled from tap at ’Craft Beer Corner’. Black with a beige head. Sweetish, malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some lovage. Rather sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, some lovage and slight hints of dark ripe fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, a little dry finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very interesting and really tasty!

Black with little brown head. Aroma is honey, cocoa. Taste is cocoa bitterness and honey sweetness. Rather medium body, sweet finish. A little too thin for an Imperial Stout.

Sampled @ BKL 2017. Fast schwarze Farbe, geringe braune Schaumkrone. Geruch süß schokoladig malzig, Vanille, etwas bourbon. Geschmack intensiv süß malzig, Schokoladig, Vanille, etwas Lactose, super.
