Bottle. Black. Caramel, licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with salted licorice, some alcohol and caramel. Likeable and fairly well balanced.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with loads of licorice, light coffee, nutty notes, alcohol warmth, very nice.

Bottle at home in London - sourced via online shop. Pours black-brown with a small, foamy beige head. Just a solid, no-nonsense stout. Nice roasted dark malt character, mostly somewhat bitter dark chocolate, a little ash and earth, charred marshmallows. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Just a little warmth in the finish, more roast, bittersweet chocolate. Actually drinks really easily.

(Keg at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20190326) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, ash, dark chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. A pleasant burnt brew with chocolate notes.

Dark, thick, roasty, with some dark cherry bitterness thrown into the mix. Very well-balanced. Right up my alley. 4.1
