On tap at Hotel Belveder, Zekenska Ruda Czechia in the company of Craig and Stella, Saturday 5th October 2024. Pours almost black with a creamy beige head, some sweetness initially, nice maltiness. Nice mouthfeel, this is decent in fact very decent.

1l PET bottle. Pours jet black with a beige creamy head. Dark chocolate, toffee, cara, marzipan, vanilla, candy sugar, earthy notes, some tobacco, lemon zest. Dry zesty bitterness, chocolate toffee sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry zesty malty chocolate bittersweet finish. What an excellent tmavý!

# 363; 7/2016. Středně plný tmavý ležák. V chuti dominuje hořká čokoláda, ale není sladké. V dochuti se výrazněji projevuje (pře)pálený slad.

On tap at the brewpub. A dark reddish brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of sweet caramelish malt, diacetyl. Taste of caramelish malt, sweet malt, toffee.

Draft. A murky black beer with a huge lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, roasted malt, as well as lighter notes of citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, coffee, and roasted malt as well as light notes of chocolate, leading to a bitter and lightly roasted finish. The mouthfeel is sparkling.

On tap. Hazy dark brown with a dense beige head leaving laces. Aroma of hard roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish lightly burned malt and some coffee accents. Has a light malt bitterness in the finish. Lovely. 280608 and 290608

Hazy and dark brown beer with a firm off-white head. Deep aroma of licorice, with some grainy malt notes. Dryish burnt caramel flavour with licorice, and a hoppy finish.

(6/28/08) Draught at a blind tasting at Modrý Abbé in Klatovy. Dark brown to black color with a medium, rather creamy, brown head. Aroma of roastiness and nice coffee notes. Sweet flavor at first with nice roasted malt, coffee and light notes of chocolate. Finishes rather dry. Medium-bodied.
