Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. No hiss of carbonation as I unclipped the top. Hazy gold no head. Some saison yeast on aroma with lemon and herb and yellow grapefruit. More sourness in the mouth. Mostly lemon. Some biscuit that reminds me of brett but not sure it has brett but then again I see it was aged in barrels. It’s quite interesting. Could do with some carbonation. A little fizzy in the mouth, but mostly still. Yes quite tasty sour. The barrel ageing is good.

Bottle. Arcade Beers, Huddersfield. Hazy, pale gold. No head. Nose has soft brett. Oak. Damp grain. Hint of tinned pineapple. Some vanilla. Taste is light, oaky sweet, with a little sour twang. Light body. Low carbonation. Dries out somewhat on the finish.

750ml bottle picked up at the brewery. It pours lightly hazy bright gold with a tiny bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, funky, tart fruits, gooseberry, white grape, tangerine, sherbet, lactic, wood, touch of vanilla yoghurt and panettone. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, vinous, white grape, gooseberry, grapefruit, pomelo, earthy, some mouth - pucker, straw, earthy, wood, sherbet and light acidity with a firmly dry finish. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. If anything it could be done with more carbonation to lift it a but more. It is delcious as is and eminently drinkable.

Light haze on this paleish yellow - gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Mild minerals. Semi smooth floralness and a whisper of herb. Floral citrus and a light touch of candy fruits. Whisper of sherbet on the light dry finish. Pretty nice Saison.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear golden yellow pour with a thin white head, aroma has lemon, hints of peach and wet hay, taste has really crisp citrus action, slight funk, sweet pineapple chunk confectionary, some herbal action, slight woodiness.

Keg at salthorse. Pours hazy pale yellow, nose is bretty, oak, grapes, pineapple, taste is juicy, sweet fruit, dry, bretty.

75cl bottle from Appleyards, Shrewsbury, shared with Mike & Simon. Thanks Mike for this! Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aroma is soft saison yeast, funk. Taste bears a vibrant saison sweetness, some bristling wild funk, mild simcoe fruit, pineapple, some vinous hints. Nice.
