Bottle shared at A Day To Sink All Sea Shepards tasting. Cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of Bretty funk, citrus, mineral notes. Flavour is above light sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. I’m sure it was better fresh but it certainly wasn’t ruined by age as I feared. [17-09-2016]

375 ml bottle shared at the original Chez Moeder Lambic’s cellar. Hazy golden orange color with off white head. Light malty, hoppy, and yeasty aroma, funky, bretty, wood, grass, floral and citrus notes. Light sweet, light acidic and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Extreme & manifold thanks to fonefan!!! Hazy orange. Nose is walnut oxidation, sweet with low yeast, faint sulfur / grape note, barn. Nose is pretty lovely, kept well. Taste was a bit too yoghurt, yeast forward, sugar, yeast dominates, hay, bit yeasty sweet, oxidation, grapes are gone, low funky barn. Yeasty body. Must have been quite something way back but too old I figure now to really shine.

Bottle via trade. It pours hazy golden orange with a small white head. The nose is golden delicious and granny smith apple, hay, melon, subtle orange, tangerine, spice and damp wood. The taste is soft orange, tangerine, Granny Smith apple, faint spice, hay, floral, pleasant tartness, sherbet and damp wood with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. The Drie Fonteinen lambic has definitely taken hold! Great depth of flavour, yet remains delicate and very drinkable.

Bottle at Bruce’s, London - big, big thanks to Paul. Pours hazy gold with a fine, creamy head. Great nose, lots of grass, old wet wood. Light to medium sweet flavor, some apples, light peppery spice, mellowed grassy bitterness, dank wood. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Light tangy finish, moderate grassy bitterness, light tartness, wood, faint tangy lemon. Nice stuff overall, good nuance.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a huge lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, malt, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with an acidic edge and notes of dusty hops, malt, brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a finger-thick, white head. Rather mellow and rounded bretty nose with fruityness, lemon notes and some faint vanilla hints. The flavor is sort of sweetish, without being sweet, quite fruity and slightly lemony, with a touch of oak and medium strength acidity. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A really nice one. A really nice saison. 110513
