Quite surprised to see that I hadn't rated this until now. Bottle picked up from the new Degenhart Getrankemarkt in Regen and consumed the same day, Tuesday 23rd December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. I making homemade Pork Pies and we're also making Lax Pudding and also Conchiglone Pasta stuffed with Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon. This is fairly straightforward but not too bad, looks good, clean mid gold with a large white head, however this head wasn't one for hanging around. A touching sweet, light background bitterness and hoppiness. It's okay actually I don't mind it at all. Score 6.4

500 ml bottle from a grocery store in Passau, Germany. Pours a crystal clear pale gold color with a large white head and excellent retention. Very good lacing. Standard pale malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Pretty standard pale malt flavor with only a hint of light bread flavor in the finish. Nothing unique, but a very good, smooth, clean, repeatable lager. Medium, body and medium-light soft carbonation. Not bitter. Well done.

0.5L bottle pours out crisp clean straw topped with a white head. Nose is light grain some sweet malts and a touch of grass hops. Taste is more of the nice light grain sweet touch and some grass.

Bottle. Color: Clear pale golden, white head. Aroma: Grainy, malty. Taste: Grain, malty with grassy hop backbone. Subtle fruity notes, some bread. Moderate sweet, light bitterness. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Bit foamy mouthfeel. Ok Helles.

0,5 bottle.Traditional blue and white Bavarian label. Filled with a very light German lager, with a normal white head. Nothing special in the aroma - it seems like a decent German beer. As much pure maltiness as needed, as much hops as needed. The taste is fresh, normal Dortmunder, crystal clear, with good hops. What was interesting was that there was also a hint of yeastiness - which didn't go wrong with it. A bit watery body, but a perfect thirst quencher for summer and festivals.

Ami érdekes volt, hogy élesztősség is érződött - ami nem is állt neki rosszul. Kissé vizes test, de nyárra, fesztiválra tökéletes szomjoltó.

Klare gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, getreidiger, schwach hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, getreidig, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure. Sehr süffig und einfach.

In den letzten Jahren haben einige Brauereien in unser Gegend ein neues Helles herausgebracht. Alle urig in der Aufmachung (die weiß-blaue Bayernraute wird fast inflationär auf dem Etikett verwendet), abgefüllt in der dicken Euroflasche (obwohl die Brauerei für alle anderen Biere die schlanke NRW-Flasche verwendet) und von süffigem Charakter. Vermutlich das erste (und viele sagen beste) dieser neuen Hellen dürfte das Passauer Hell von der Löwenbrauerei Passau gewesen sein. Getreidig, deutlich florale Nuancen, dabei aber eher mild gehopft. Nicht zu viel, aber sehr feinperlige Kohlensäure. Ein extrem süffiges Helles, das jedem irgendwie schmecken sollte. Ideal für heiße Tage - oder einfach mal so. So weit ich das beurteilen kann ist das von der Löwenbrauerei Passau für REWE abgefüllte Wirts Madl Bayrisch Hell 1516 mit diesem Bier absolut identisch.
