Bottle at home. Pours a nice black with a thick head. Aroma is very classic Imperial stout. Lots of dark malts, chocolate and coffee, lots of roasted barley, maybe some licorice and figs. Big body. Flavour is balanced and sweetish, with a big malt body. Lots of bitterness and roastiness balances sweetness. Coffee and chocolate notes, mostly general roast flavours. Not overly complex but a superbly done classic Imperial stout with very good drinkability.

330ml bottle. Pours dark, good pale tan head. Aroma bears some tobacco and woody roast. Taste has similar charred wood, roast, nutty layers with chocolate, leather and tobacco with some soy emerging. Medium bodied. Interesting, flavoursome stout.

Light brown creamy head stayed on a still, near black body. Malty aroma with rich dark fruit & dark spirits. Medium bodied, low carbonation, soft & cloying. Rich tastes of malt, demerara, bitter berries, over ripe fruit, smoky, sweet berries & a good clean hoppy finish.

1/3 pint draft @ Howling Hops.
