Tap@Shamrock Inn, Copenhagen - pours a light hazed golden yellow colour with a thin bubbly head. Tart fruity with some notes of exotic fruit, some lychee, lemon, some straw, light yeasty, light body, touch of vanilla sweetness into the close. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lychee & Vanilla Sour on 26 Mar 2025 at 07:31 - Score: 6

On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Pours almost clear golden with small white head. Citrus, vanilla, lactic, yogurt all around. Light to medium sourness. Bit bland. Light bodied. Too much yogurt profile.

On tap at Craft Room Zagreb. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, weak berries in the nose. Light sweetish lychee, touch of vanilla, some fruity notes and light sourish finish. Drinkable but a bit messy.

Tap at Opatovina Beer Fest. Hazy golden, some white head. Dunno really what lychee is like on its own so I'll say the aroma is citric and lactic, pungent, solid, nice... Taste, lime's lame cousin and some grain diluted in yoghurt. Interesting, tasty in a way, but I fully understand why some won't like it.

(Draught at Craft Beer Co St Mary Axe, London, 25 May 2018) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, dough and vanilla. Fruity, tart taste with notes of citrus, lemon, lychee, vanilla and a finish with low bitterness and a balanced, fresh tartness. Medium body, dry. Sounds weird, but it works quite well. Tasty and refreshing with a balanced acidity. Quite nice.

Keg at CBC Islington, 25/06/18. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is sweetish, vanilla evident, lemon rind, grass, grains. Taste comprises citric pith, lactic tang, vanilla essence, green berry funk, damp straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Passable simple sour.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. The nose has some pine needles, lime zest. Light sweet flavour, lots of citrus peel, very soft acidity. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more oily lime peel, a little wheat bread, nips of salt. Not bad.

Good soft fruit on the nose and tempered by the vanilla. Clear gold body with just a little carbonation and foam. Flavour is a bit of sourness offset by vanilla. Not a puckering sour but a finely balanced mix of flavours.
