Tap at Makarska Connexion@Opatovina. Hazy dark ruby-brown, lasting beige head. Soapy tart raisiny aroma, soapy tart raisiny taste. Slightly watery to boor. Right now, the worst beer of the festival. Sub-par.

Tap at the brewery, pours a watery cola brown, some rocky off white head. Nose is mostly standard, if not a touch mild, some malt, bread, a little raw sugar, perhaps a little smoked meat. Flavor starts out the same with brown bread, mushroom and a hint of sausage, but the back end it tart and a little trashy. Finishes watery and acetic. Hints of infection, no question.

Keg at the source. Surprised I hadn’t scooped this before! It pours near black with a medium beige head. The aroma is toasty, dark roasted malts, earthy, wood, cocoa and caramel. The taste is cocoa, earth roast, charred notes, caramel, chocolate, light spice and wood with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded. Not a huge amount going on, but it drinks easy.
