Liten beska. Trevlig om än lite väl söt. Tänker på Achel blond extra.

A little dark green bottle, 250ml, bought at the Illum store in central Copenhagen. Low, beige-tan coloured head. Minimal lacing. Deep, dark brown body. Earthy malts surrounded by spices on the nose. Ginger and mild pepper. Similar spicy taste with ginger to the fore added by anise and pepper. Herbal malty backbone. Spiced bittersweet tail. Fine bodied. Too much like a ginger beer, perhaps (Tromsø 05.01.2014).

300ml draught, guest ale at BrewPub, Copenhagen. Ruby-like content under a shinning surface. Malty to the nose supplied by spices. Pretty much the same to the taste buds...sweet malts offset by varieties of spices. Piny hops towards the finish. Rather sweet, but likable (Copenhagen, 25.03.2010).

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 06.07.2013
Aroma has anise, licorice and herbal notes – feels like a fresh bottle of Gouden Carolus Christmas. Flavour is quite spicy with herbal notes, rosemary, some anise and hints of licorice. Aroma was nice but I find the rosemary in the flavour quite disturbing.

Tonene fra Ketelbys In a Monastery Garden var langt vekke.

Deep amber colour with a tan head. Smells like my herb garden. Juniper maybee the strongest note. What a lovely and fresh herbal ale. Have to buy some and put them in the basement for some good occasions. Lovely fruity and herbal flavour. Perfect for meat meals. The juniper comes forward a lot in the flavour.

500 ml bottle. Amber body with a big, creamy beige head that disappears quite fast. Aroma has malt bit is dominated by spices like estragon and anise, it also smells like perfume (lavender?). Flavor is quite light with lots of spices from aroma, rather unbalanced actually. Not all bad but not the best beer either.
