330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours a dark orange/brown with short-lasting head. The aroma, however, was an immediate put-off and made me dread what was to come, a strange herbal off-character that smelt and tasted wrong. Visually this looked fine, but tastewise it’s pretty bad & I just can’t imagine it was meant to come out this. Sinkpour :(

Bottle at Pleased to Meet You, Newcastle on 29 July 2013. Poured a slightly hazy copper colour with a medium white head. Aroma of biscuit, tropical fruit and a little butterscotch. Grapefruit flavours with bread, toffee and orange peel. The residual bitterness was not very balanced and was unripe fruit with some resin.

33cl bottle from Provenance Wines. Appearance - not pale at all. Quite orange to amber with nice lacing. Nose - malt and cardboard. Off notes. Taste - malt and not much else. Palate - light to medium bodied with a clean finish kinda. Overall - not what it is supposed to be. A premium bitter.

Can this brewery only make bitters? This is like an ESB, but on that;s been taken off the yeast too soon (again). Cardboard aromas. Where are the hops? Not at all good.

Cask at Craft Clerko, cheers to Paul for the split, 26/06/13. Lightly hazed golden with a very thin off white head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is bitter grapefruit, dank hops, orange, light caramel, sugars, hint of booze. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, bitter hops, piney notes. Full end of medium bodied, hop bitterness and a touch of booze in the finish. Decent strongish cask IPA - well balanced and drinkable.

Cask at craft, clerkenwell. It pours clear amber with a medium beige head. The nose is earth, wood, resin, leaf and sticky citrus. The taste is pine, resin, sticky, leaf, assertive bitterness, minerals, pithy citrus and some alcohol with a rather bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A solid brew.

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Big thanks to Frederick! Hazy amber beer, big white head. Palate is smooth and light. Moderate carbonation. Smooth pale malts, slightly sweet. Good hops. Resinous crystallised fruits. Citra like fresh orange. Light floral things and a pithy bitterness. Finishes smooth and dry. Good stuff!

330ml bottle from the Crafty Pint, Darlington market. Clear golden orange dark amber colour, off-white head that diminishes and aroma of caramel & citrusy hop. Taste is malty caramel with sweetish orange, pine, grapefruit, resin hop bitterness, through to a warming dry lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Quite drinkable.

Bottle, thanks to Matt W. Dark amber pour with a restrained off white head. Nose had notes of booze, caramel malts and tropical fruits. Sweet malts and some satisfying hoppage prominent alongside juicy grapefruit notes in the flavour. Struck a decent balance overall. Maybe a little rough around the edges but a solid offering. Why aye man!
