Playhouse Spoons. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and light. Modest fine carbonation. Tangy orange and floralness over mild smooth malts. Edging toward mildly sour. Whisper of sulphur. Light floral sweetness before a light dry finish. Just about holds together.

Cask at the White Swan, Islington, 22/10/14. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is sweet malts, light honey, spice, dark fruit notes. Taste comprises caramel, dollop of honey, sweet notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet close tempered with light bitterness. So so - does what it says on the tin, not unpleasant, not a great deal to it though!

Cask handpull Hamilton Hall Spoons. Hazy dark gold lasting white head. It’s a slightly sweet beer. Wadworth house yeast on aroma. Sweetness in mouth golden syrup and honey. Faint heather maybe. Ok.

Pint from the royal hop pole Twekesbury. Slightly hazy Amber colour with a lasting white head. Aroma has the honey, but not much else. Taste is ok, but has sulphur, and a bit too much honey for me. Do t get the lavender or heather.

Cask @ Paramount, Manchester. Golden with a small creamy head. A fair fusion of floral notes and honey, the former being a little more dominant but the honey is in the nose and provides a nice sticky sweetness to this ale.

Cask at the Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. Pale straw with a thin white head; floral aroma; sweet honey taste - but not overpowering, with a thin body; and a light floral bitterness.

17th Oct 2014: third of a pint in my local Wetherspoons. Good looking light amber brew with a white topping that gave off some impressive lacing: sadly it goes downhill from there. Mild floral aroma and taste with too much honey sweetness coming through the other weak flavours. The thin body depth did not help the brew either: looks fine but that is the highlight.
