Nitro draft sample @ Signature taproom.

Shared by rlgk@SBWF2014, thanks! Black colour, small beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is liquorice, some cocoa, chocolate and mild tar and smoked wet wooden elements. Flavour is roasted malts, some chocolate, liquorice and mild grassy and hayish bitterness to it. Nicely bitter stout.

Keg tap at the Union Tavern, Westbourne Park. Black with a small tan head. Milk chocolate and liquorice candy aroma. Sweet taste with an herbal note. Unbalanced bitter finish. Drinkable but not one of those beers that delivers on the promises made.

Navigation Tavern Spring Beer Festival 2016. Extremely dark with a creamy off-white head. It’s a floral heavy stout in character, but there are roasted malts evident in both aroma and taste.

Well & Bucket. Keg. Almost opaque black - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth with decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, a tang that borders on sour. Trace of roast bitterness. Crisp finish. Just another stout and an overly tangy one.
