BIAB at York Beer & Cider Festival 2022. Bright golden colour, no head and aroma of apple. Taste is sweetish, ape, some core, woody, oak hints, vanilla, mellow tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying finish. Quite drinkable

Box @ Bottle & Barrel after a 90 mile ride. Surprisingly pale complexion, clear. Lacks a good oaky woody depth, a bit watery. Really unlike any Hallets cider I've had before. Expected more from this.

Half-pint, cask as Hallets Oak Cask Limited Edition at Old Fountain. Shared with Magne. Bright pale golden body, naked at the surface, no lacing. Modest, mid-sweet apples on the nose. Taste of rather sweet apples and wood. Smooth and clean in the mouth. Fair enough, quite sweet though. (London 10.01.2019).

Bag in Box at George Croydon as Hallets Draught, Oak Aged Vintage Cider at 6%. It pours clear pale gold with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy, musty, apple pie & ice cream and candy. The taste is crisp, bitter - sweet, apple skin, tart bite, gooseberry, vanilla, oak, honey, tannins and fruit pie with a dry, wood finish. Medium bodied and still. Quite nice overall, but edges towards a touch too sweet for me.

Bag in the box at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear deep amber colour lasting white head. Apple aroma. Some oak dryness. Tastes of apple juice. Very slight oak influence. Ok.

Bag in a box from the Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Yellow/orange, noticeably hazy and quite flat. Musty cider vinegar in the gentle aroma. Tastes quite sweet and refreshing but without the ’bite’ I was hoping for. It’s watery on the palate. OK.
