Cask handpull at The Harp Chandos Place. Clear very dark brown colour lasting tan head. Decent mild. Not too roasty. If lets the malts forward. Some dry brown malt some nuttiness. Pretty decent I thought. Dryish on the finish no real hop. Drinkable

Cask at the Angel, JDW - London. Pours clear, deep copper with a creamy, tan head. The nose has brown read, mellow toffee, some fruit. Light sweet flavor with mildly soapy fruits, some leaves and wood, boring toffee, bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation amd creamy texture. Lightly sweet to finish with basic brown bread sugars, lightly ripened berries, faint toffee. Extremely simplistic, even for a mild.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark red with a thick frothy head. Has a light roasted malt aroma with some sweetness evident, although as it’s fairly thin the flavours are struggling to get noticed. But it is supposed to be mild!

Cask at Queens Head. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet dark malts, dried fruits, caramel, wood and leather. The taste is smooth, caramel, earth, toast, pepper, wood, faint charred notes, cola and dried fruits with a bitter-sweet finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Not a whole lot to it. Decent enough mild.

(Cask at Harp, Charing Cross, London, 9 Apr 2014) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, dark bread and dark fruit. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, chocolate, nuts and a slightly bitter-sweet finish. Rather light body, with a touch of sweetness. Well made and balanced mild ale. Quiet nice.
