The Fox. Tap takover. Cask. Almost opaque black beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth dry dark malts, touch of cream. Mild roasty bitterness and a whisper of coffee. Well buried dark fruits. Back end brings mild piney hops and a fair kick of bitterness. Little dark chocolate ushers in a sweeter creamy malt that starts to balance the bitterness. Finishes smooth. Coffee and hop bitterness linger on.
