Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2015. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. My notes say nothing other than ’ok’, but I recall this beer avoided the excessive pear drop character which mars many Wadworth’s beers.

Cask pint in the Victoria Station Wetherspoons on 28th March 2015. Golden to light amber body with a white topping. Another golden citrusy flavoured beer. Pleasant enough but I am sick to death of this type of beer to be honest.

Crosse Keys. Spoons. Cask. Clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and dry with fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts. Spicy bitter yeasty mid with a trace of sulphur. Little citrus and marmalade. Bitterish finish. Long strong bitter linger. Meh!

Cask at the Queens Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. A slightly hazy amber pour with a scummy cream head; muted citrus aroma; smooth grainy body with a butterscotch taste, and some orange peel; then a drier, satisfying finish.

Cask at the Willow Walk, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds creamy, doughy-bready pale malts, some lemon, dry toffee. Medium sweet flavor with simple pale bread, white sugar, citrus meringue, mild bitter hay, grain husk. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with some hitter leaves and hay, further gains, pale bread. Very basic but not altogether bad.
