Bottle at the second 42nd floor tasting thanks to me! It pours near black with a thick light tan head. The nose is sweet, juicy, rich roast, grapefruit, bitter-sweet, orange peel and chocolate. The taste is bitter, rich roast, grapefruit, peppery, slightly chewy, earthy roast, toast and charred wood with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent black ipa.

Bottled. A hazy brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, bread, citrus fruits, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Tower 42 Tasting 2. Thanks to the Scopester for this one. Almost clear dark brown beer, a short pale cream colour head. Mellow dark malts, thin cream. A little dark chocolate and even a touch of milk chocolate. Modest dark fruits. Mild pine hops. Touch of citric hop. Light finish. Mild bitter hop linger. Not bad.
