Bottle from Buxton tap, drunk later. 2nd anniversary edition. Murky cheery aide colour. With a this off berry white head. Aroma has cherry, raspberry and slight red wine. Taste is slight sour to mid sweet. Warming alcohol body.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - London. Many thanks to Matteo! Pours unclear amber with a creamy topping. The nose holds flinty minerals, alcohol and berries. Medium sweet flavor, dry and flinty, with some raspberry, grainy bread, orange peel. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with yet more mineral flint, grain, seedy berries. So so. It’s just not very drinkable.

Craft Clerkenwell. Bottleshare. Thanks to Matteo. Murky pinky brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, light creamy sweetness. Little alcohol spice. Piney berry fruits. Touch of savoury nut. Some floralness and a little winey tang. Light spicy finish. Curious but tasty.

Bottle. Buxton Tap. Murky, dark cherry red. Halo of dirty tan head. Raspberry liqueur. Cherry stone. Some vinous sourness. Fruit, juicy and earthy. Taste is earthy, stony bitter. Really vinous. Lots of tang. Sweet and sour, at the same time. Very complex. Never feels 10%. Tangy, fruity, woody, bitter finish. I was lucky enough to drink Hill Farmstead Madness and Solitude a while ago. This reminds me of that. Lovely beer. Pushes the boundaries.

Bottle split at the pre xmas tasting #Juan, thanks, 09/12/15. Murky brown to amber with a decent light beige covering. Nose is perfume, red berry, earthy hop, straw, bitter orange. Taste comprises tangy red berry, sweet and sour vibes, caramel, sweet malt, light pine, red grapefruit, Sorachi jam. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok DIPA but a lot of weird going off so not as joined up as I’d prefer.

Bottle at CASC. It pours deep reddish-amber with a decent yellow-white head. The nose is raspberry bubblegum, coconut, jammy, cherry bakewell, candied, liquorice, white grape and raspberry. The taste is bitter-sweet, very jammy, raspberry, warming alcohol, marzipan, booze, earth, sake, white wine and wood with a warming finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. Good depth to it. Interesting and quaffable. Nice work.

Bottle at Buxton, pours a cloudy opaque dark red with a medium beige head. Nose brings out lots of berries, with sake yeast, and some light barrel notes. Flavour is similar, with loads of pithy berries, citrus hops, and some of the filthy sake yeast. More berry and yeast dominated than hop dominated. Doesn't strike me as a double IPA, but it's solid for what it is. Okay but not thrilling.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham, consumed at home, Wednesday 15th April 2015 Deep reddy brown colour, you cannot see through it, it’s rather hazy. Sour and tangy with a little warmth (alcohol) wonderfully fruity with rich juicy raspberry. Tart tangy with a lasting rich winey dry finish. Wonderfully raspberry aroma. This is great, soft carbonation, love the tangy, juicy summer fruits. A8 A2 T8 P4 Ov17 3.9
