Draft at Craft 100 Spring 2016 - Craft Beer Co. Clapham, London. Pours oily black-brown with a light, off-white head. The nose holds lime, mint, chocolate and chili. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of baking cocoa, lime peel, burnt rubber, a little ash. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with mellow chili spice, some zesty citrus accents, spicy ginger, bittersweet chocolate. Pretty good.

Craft 100 at Craft Clapham. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, no head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Malts dark chocolate before chilli kicks in with a high burn. Light semi dry finish. Over cooked by far.

Cask gravity at Craft 100. It pours near black with no head to speak of. The aroma is charred wood, umami, liquorice, chocolate, spice, rocky road and tobacco. The taste is dry, spicy ginger, charred wood, hot chilli heat, burnt tires, raw alcohol and chocolate with a dry, spiced finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit too spiced and rough around the edges for me.

Cask at Craft 100, Clapham, Saturday, 25th March 2016 in the company of Lynn, Barry, Jaqui and Simon. Interesting combination of ginger and chilli provides a steady mid table burn. Black in colour with a few stray bubbles. Like it. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask @ Leeds Brewery Tap, Leeds. Black with a creamy off-white head. Dense in its texture, it has a heavy spice that puts a fire in the mouth and lips - any ginger is second fiddle. There are roasted malts in here too but are also insignificant given you’re mouth is on fire whilst drinking this.
