12/4/2019. Cask gravity at the Hull Real Ale & Cider Festival 2019. Pours clear golden amber with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma of fruit, veg, hops and malt. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Light to moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft combination. Not much to this one.

Handpull cask at the Jolly Brewers, Milton. Honey brown, translucent. A huge off-white head on top which mostly dissipates, leaving sheets of lacing. Sharp citrus and Ivory soap in the aroma. Woody and astringent notes. Not bad but certainly unusual. Bittersweet, herbal and slightly fruity taste. There’s a definite soapy element which pervades until the finish. Aftertaste ate is a bit messy and astringent. A weird little beer that is good enough for a pint... but not sure I’d have it again.

Cask at Bootlegger. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, brown bread, caramel and not much else. The taste is dry, sort of tart upfront, brown bread, dirty, earth, wood and some astringency with a drying finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Doesn’t taste quite right me. Far from great.
